welcome to the Hotel Alpenblick! We are pleased that you are with us and would like to offer you an unforgettable stay in the center of the breathtaking mountain world of Switzerland. Our goal is to provide you with a pleasant and comfortable stay where you can feel comfortable all around.

On this page you will find information about your stay. Enjoy the fresh mountain air during hikes or ski tours and let yourself be delighted by our culinary offer. We always want to make sure you have a perfect stay and are always available to help you with any questions or requests you may have.

 
 

The bar is open from 1pm.

We close earliest at 10pm, and latest at midnight (0h00; twelve o’clock at night).

There is a daily happy hour from 5:30pm till 6:30pm. On your orders of beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks you will get a second one for free.

Sundays and Mondays the bar remain closed. During the high season, (August, July, December, February) closed on  Sundays.

You can store your bike inside, the reception team will help you.

Bicycles are not permitted in the rooms.

Various sports stores in the village rent out bicycles (mountain bikes) and e-bikes.

Your room or dormitory bed will be ready for you on the day of your arrival from 14h00 at the latest.

Check in is possible until 21h00, should you arrive later, please let us know by e-mail (hotel@alpenblick.info) or by telephone 0041 33 853 11 05.

We ask you to check out by 11am latest on your departure day.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer late check outs. But you can leave your car on our parking until your final departure from Grindelwald.

You may as well store your luggage after checking out. If you should check out early in the morning we kindly ask you to pay your hotel bill the day before your departure day.

As the reception is open in Summer from 6h30 am and in Winter from 7am.

Cooking in the rooms is forbidden.

During summer:

You will find a microwave and a kettle in the basement. You find plates, glasses and cuttlery there as well.Please note, that is not permitted to cook in the hotel rooms, because of the risk of fire. If you should cook in the rooms, we are forced to charge CHF 300.-

During winter:

You will find a microwave and a kettle in the first floor, room 111. You find plates, glasses and cuttlery there as well.Please note, that is not permitted to cook in the hotel rooms, because of the risk of fire. If you should cook in the rooms, we are forced to charge CHF 300.-

Well educated dogs are accepted and fro free.

Please note, that we do not accept pets in the dormitory!

Other pets than dogs are not allowed.

We do not have a dress code, you come as you are comfortable and are not a burden to other guests.

For your safety, we advise you not to go barefoot, as we cannot guarantee that there are no glass splinters anywhere.

Your security is our concern. In all the hotel rooms and corridors there are fire detectors.

If you should locate fire or smoke, please see the reception. And there are red alarm boxes in the corridor. Break the window with covered elbow and push the button.

On the inside of your room door, you find the evacuation plan as well as how to react in case of fire.

The meeting point in case of an evacuation of the hotel is on the upper parking of the hotel. In case of fire please follow the instructions of the hotel staff.

  • Breakfast is served from 7am till 10:00am in Winter and from 6:30am till 10:00 am in Summer.
  • For Lunch our restaurant remain closed, thank you for your understanding!
  • We serve Dinner from 5:30pm – 9 pm.
  • For the menu, see menu.
  • We are closed on Sundays and Mondays, during the high season (July, August, December, February) we are only closed on Sundays.

The bar is closed from 21:00 at the earliest, so the main entrance is also closed.

You will be asked to take your room key with you in the evening. To get back into the hotel, you will find an entrance under the restaurant terrace.

With the night entrance code, which you will receive at check-in, you can enter the hotel 24 hours a day.

You can pay your bill in cash, by credit card, Maestro or postcard or with foreign currencies (Euro and US Dollar).

Please note that the exchange rate at the bank is more advantageous for you. We therefore recommend that you pay us in Swiss francs. You will find banks in the village that are happy to exchange your currency.

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Night rest is from 22:00 to 07:00.

Please respect the other guests and our neighbours!

The reception is open from 7am in winter, from 6:30 in summer. It stays open until the closing of the bar.

As we are a small hotel, the reception is not occupied permanently, therefore we ask you to be patient, thank you very much!

The restaurant is open from 5:30pm till 9pm, for the menu, see menu.

We serve a daily menu and hot dishes from CHF 19.

We also offer a small, seasonal additional menu with Alpenblick specialties under the motto: "Es het so langs het". You will find this additional menu next to the entrance door and in the restaurant.

The restaurant remain closed on Sundays and Mondays, during high season (July, August, December and February) closed on Sundays.
