Adapters and multi-plug – adapters can be rent for a deposit of CHF 10.- at the hotel reception. You get the money back, when you bring back the adapters or multi-plugs.

From Basel, Zürich and Bern take the highway N2, N1, N6 via Thun until Exit Grindelwald.

From Lugano and Luzern take the Highway N2, via Stans, Brünig pass, Interlaken to the exit Grindelwald. Once you are in Grindelwald, follow the main road though out the village direction Oberer Gletscher.

The hotel is located around 300 meters after the church on the right-hand side.

From the Zürich Airport, you take the train direction Bern, where you have to change the train towards Interlaken Ost. In Interlaken Ost, you have to change the train again towards Grindelwald. (it takes you about 3h from Zürich to Grindelwald).

Once in Grindelwald, you will find the bus terminal (www.grindelwaldbus.ch) across the road from the train station.

With the digital guestcard, you benefit from free bus.

We can offer you a baby crib for CHF 15.- per night if ordered in advance.

In the village, you find following banks UBS, Berner Kantonalbank, Raiffeisen, or Ersparnisskasse Interlaken. At every bank, you find cash machines/ATMs.

Opening hours of banks are Monday to Friday from 9am – 12/ and 2pm – 5pm.

There is as well an ATM by Hotel Sunstar.

The bar is open from 1pm.

We close earliest at 10pm, and latest at midnight (0h00; twelve o’clock at night).

There is a daily happy hour from 5:30pm till 6:30pm. On your orders of beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks you will get a second one for free.

Sundays and Mondays the bar remain closed. During the high season, (August, July, December, February) closed on  Sundays.

If you book directly on our website, or call or e-mail us, you can benefit from the best prices.

Furthermore the cancellation policy is more favorable for you, if you book directly at our hotel.

We offer 10% discount for stays longer than 7 nights, to guests who book directly.

If you book directly, you will get a voucher for a drink at our bar.

If you book directly at our hotel, you can communicate directly with us, and not via a third party, which makes it easier for you as we allways act and communicate customer-focused and as simple as possible.

You can store your bike inside, the reception team will help you.

Bicycles are not permitted in the rooms.

Various sports stores in the village rent out bicycles (mountain bikes) and e-bikes.

If your company has his/her birthday while your stay, we are happy to help you organize an amazing day. With pleasure we organize you atmospheric flowers, an appointment for a massage or a surprise from our kitchen while diner. We are here for you!

If you need additional blankets, please require at the reception.

In the first floor, you find a shelf with books. Just grab one to read. It would be nice, if you put there a book you read.

You may take a book at home.

You may use the public bus in the village of Grindelwald for free, with your digital guest card, which you can order 2 days prior arrival. The bus stop is opposite the main entrance of the hotel. Timetables are at the reception. Following you find the link of the buses (www.grindelwaldbus.ch).

Your room or dormitory bed will be ready for you on the day of your arrival from 14h00 at the latest.

Check in is possible until 21h00, should you arrive later, please let us know by e-mail (hotel@alpenblick.info) or by telephone 0041 33 853 11 05.

We ask you to check out by 11am latest on your departure day.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer late check outs. But you can leave your car on our parking until your final departure from Grindelwald.

You may as well store your luggage after checking out. If you should check out early in the morning we kindly ask you to pay your hotel bill the day before your departure day.

As the reception is open in Summer from 6h30 am and in Winter from 7am.
